Writing binge!

My ass is still numb.

So, what's the hangover look like after a 7 1/2 hour writing binge?

A little something like this-------->

But I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I should have been critiquing a chapter for my new group... I should have been working on web banners... I should have at least attempted it.

I just... couldn't

I feel awful about it, but there you have it.

The epiphany struck me and I had to take it and run. There's always tomorrow for real world work stuff, right?

So there I was, peacefully minding my own business and the pieces fell into place. (LOVE when that happens!) I saw what I was missing in the climax of my story and how I was going to change it. It just so happened, my fingers agreed with me.

When I say that it was 7 1/2 hours, though... I mean it. I survived on water and a bag of carmel corn that whole time. That's healthy, right? It has corn in it? (Probably processed GMO corn... For the love of all that's holy, don't tell Jillian! It was baaaad, I know!)

But I hammered out two chapters and I'm proud of them. Come to find out, if you want to get into the inner workings of evil, just listen to Disturbed on a continuous loop. Works wonders! HA!

At any rate, I felt the need to share my joy and fill you in!

Hope you all have a kick ass Memorial Day Weekend!

I know I will! ;)

I find Disturbed, System of the Down and Rob Zombie all very good influences for evil villains. I say real life can always wait till the muse is done with you. You disappoint the muse and it'll stop singing to you. At least for a little bit. Now I'm all excited for you, and I want to know the ending!

Now time for me to go earn my hangover.

LOL! Beware the numb butt!

Thanks for the comment, btw! I can't wait for you to read it, too!

Ohhh, I am jealous. That is the BEST feeling in the world. In a zone-absolutely focused. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. I wanted that today! Maybe sometime soon...

You're definitely my idol. You're just pure awesomeness. I can't believe you were writing for 7 and 1/2 hours. That's just insane! Woot!

@ Cherie, my ass would agree with you... it WAS insane! LOL!!

@ The Thumber (now that just seems silly as a reply!) I hope you have a great day of writing coming your way soon! Despite the need to workout for an hour straight, just to relieve the kink in my hamstring, I'd do it again. ;)

I've done that before. Everything around me is collapsing, but I manage to spit out chapter after chapter of good writing only to edit it down to maybe a couple of chapter of solid writing! I do eventually pick up the pieces, after having a bag of walnuts and some soy milk, to get my life back in order...but that's only after the vast amount of hours spent with my characters and their propensity to keep me entrenched in their story-lines! Aren't we wonderful as writers? :)

Wow, that's intense! I've never been in the zone that long... Way to go!

Now that's a SERIOUS writing binge! Nice work!

Always be sure to ice down afterwards. =D

Great work, keep it up!
